Brick Alley Café is on the ground floor of a four-storey building on Essex Street East, dating from around 1800. Chalkboards stand either side of the door, with window boxes out front.
The room is small, and visitors call it retro and old-school. Breakfast is served all day, including a vegetarian Irish, alongside lunch, coffee and a short drinks list. Dine-in and takeaway, cards and contactless, no delivery.
